Yasiru Gems & Jewellery began in Colombo over two decades ago, out of a personal fascination with the sapphires, rubies and rare stones that make Sri Lanka one of the world's great gem-producing islands. What started as an apprenticeship in gem cutting grew into a full jewellery house, built one hand-set piece at a time.
Yasiru holds an official Silver License from the Sri Lankan National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) — the government body responsible for regulating and certifying the country's gem and jewellery trade. This license reflects over 20 years of verified experience and a commitment to ethical sourcing and honest grading of every stone sold.
Today, every ring, necklace and loose gem leaving the workshop carries that same standard: authentic Ceylon origin, transparent pricing, and craftsmanship done entirely by hand.
Every gemstone is sourced directly from Sri Lanka's licensed gem markets, with full traceability back to origin.
All trading is conducted under an official Silver License from the National Gem and Jewellery Authority.
No mass production — every setting is cut, shaped and polished by hand in the Colombo workshop.
Every piece is discussed, confirmed and delivered directly and personally to the client.
Engagement rings, certified loose stones, or full bespoke commissions — let's talk.
